The brainchild of former film location scout Tim Chung, the Syndicated Theater opened in a repurposed former warehouse on January 15, 2016 with “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”. Film programs change daily. There is also a 70-seat restaurant and bar where patrons can relax.

Theater only offers “quiet food” in the auditorium: items that don’t crunch loudly or require silverware. Brooklyn Paper story here.

This is unbelievable! Who would have thought that anything like this would ever open in this once god forsaken area.
