Cine Titon

Located in Vertientes in Camaguey province. In the latter half of the 1920’s the Teatro Andalicia was opened on Calle 1 between Linea and A in Vertientes. It showed silent movies.

The Cine-Teatro Vertientes was built in 1939 on Valle Linea and 5th Avenida. It was owned by Jose Maria Carol, but the firm was under his wife’s name Asela Faz y Fernandez de Cossio. It had two storeys and windows all around.

It was nationalized on December 191961, and has been re-named Cine Titon after filmmaker Tomas Gutierrez Alea and now has only one floor of seats, the second floor is used for projection.
