Cine Casablanca was inaugurated on 4th February 1948, one screen and 1,950 seats. Owner Armando Garrido. 1st movie shown “Night and Day”, starring Cary Grant and Alexis Smith, directed by Michael Curtiz, the director of the movie “Casablanca”. Some people link the choice of the movie to the name of the cinema. In the decade of the 1990’s. it falls into disrepair and was closed for several years, reopening in 2014 as a multiple screen cinema [3 screens].
