The Wonders Theatre was opened in 1911. In 1915 it was purchased by M.E. Comerford and had its grand opening as the Regent Theatre on April 26, 1915 with “The Hypocrites”. The Regent Theatre was closed as a silent movie theatre around 1929.
In 1995 the Marquee Cinemas-Steamtown 8 multiplex was built on the site.
