The Swanway Drive-In opened on 17th December 1964 with a cartoon(not named), featurettes, and “The Magnificent Seven”. It had a capacity for 450 cars. In 1981 it was expanded to hold 495 cars. The drive-in closed(about 1984?). The site was purchased by La Salle College, which raised the level of the ground and used it for a football ground.
