Albany Drive-In

The Albany Drive-In was opened on July 3, 1953 with Sonny Tufts in “The Untamed Breed”. It was at the Santiam Highway location until 1968 when it was torn down. Today, a Bi-Mart stands in its place.

However, the drive-in was moved south of town to what is now known as 1710 Oregon 99E located in Tangent where it re-opened in 1970 and lasted until 1986 when it was torn down and eventually demolished. Today, the projection booth/concession stand is still there.

I believe you post the later Albany DI to its own page and label it Albany DI (2) since it was moved to a different location.
