Carmike’s Boulevard 10 opened on March 28, 2013, and was covered in the Northwest Florida Daily News.
The 1,800-seat theater includes Carmike’s Big D auditorium, which features a 60-foot-wide, 3-story screen. As explained by Carmike, “The screen has a proprietary coating that adds to the brilliance of the picture. They use 32 trillion colors for an “ultra-bright, ultra-crisp” image". Also featured is a high-tech digital sound system tuned to a 7.1 speaker array, but with capability to upgrade to 11.1.
The Ovation Dining Club offers crab cakes, grilled sandwiches, steak burger sliders and wine and beer, all while watching a movie.
It was last operated by NewVision Theatres. It was closed on March 16, 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The closure was made permanent on July 13, 2020 when NewVision Theatres went out of business. In August 2020 it was taken back by AMC Theatres and reopened on April 2, 2021 as the AMC Classic Boulevard 10.
