Nemaha Drive-In

Located about ¼ mile north of 14th Street and 192nd Road on the north side of Sabetha, this little drive-in was opened on April 22, 1954 when it was operated by E.M. Block. It sat on the east side of 14th Street. It was still open in 1969.

However, by 1991 it had been demolished and today it is private property with only the outline of the drive-in existing today.

The Sabetha Herald wrote in its Memories column for March 20, 1969:

The Nemaha Drive-In Theater will re-open for another season a week from tomorrow, on Friday, Mar. 28, Ernie Block announces. Mr. Block reports that the most noticeable change in the movie industry has been the recent rating system for movies that went into effect last fall.

A closer address is 2544 X Rd, Sabetha, KS.

Google Maps has updated their addresses and this puts it right on the property.

Today, the outline can barely be seen, but it does appear the foundation of the projection booth/concession stand still exists.
