Ecran Cinema

The Ecran Cinema was located in the Jette district of Bruxelles between Laeken, Molenbeek and Ganshoren. It was in the main street of Jette, the commercial street Rue Leon Theodor. It opened in the mid-1930’s. In the 1960’s it was taken over by the Belgian Cineac chain and showed two programmes a week. It was closed in 1975. The Ecran Cinema has been demolished and the site is now part of a high school.

Another cinema the Ritz Cinema was opened in 1956 in the nearby Rue Henry Werrie which is now a bowling alley.
