Located in Wootton Bassett (re-named Royal Wootton Bassett by H.M. Queen Elizabeth II in March 2011), to the west of Swindon, Wiltshire. The Picture House was opened around 1911 and had seating provided for 400. In 1918 after World War I, it was altered and was re-named Mascot Cinema. There were several operators over the years. It was equipped with an Imperial Sound system around 1930 and in the mid-1930’s it was re-named Picturedrome.
Around 1946 it was re-named Electra Cinema and was equipped with a Morrison sound system. The seating capacity had been reduced to 175 and the proscenium was 14 feet wide. The Electra Cinema was closed in the early-1950’s.
