Scala Cinema

Located in Langold, to the north of Worksop, Nottinghamshire. The Scala Cinema was opened on 20th September 1927. All seating was on a single floor. In 1931 it was equipped with a British Talking Pictures(BTP) sound system and was operated by East of England Theatres Ltd.

The Scala Cinema was closed in 1934 and was converted into a billards hall, and later became a snooker hall. In recent years it has become the Christian Community Church, which by 2014 was known as the Now Church.
