Located in the Cathedral city of Ripon, north Yorkshire. The Curzon Cinema was created out of a former furniture store which had been closed for several years. It was opened 31st October 2013. Screen 1 had 58 seats, screen 2 has 34 seats. It was closed on 1st July 2023.

This is a very nice cinema. Unfortunately, however, yet again auditorium space has been sacrificed for extended lounge and bar/restaurant areas. Whilst entirely understandable, this is nevertheless rather regrettable.
The cinemas themselves are somewhat clinical, technically state-of-the-art but lacking atmosphere. As David has said, really nice décor and furnishing is pretty much limited to the foyer/bar/restaurant areas.
This cinema closed permanently on July 1st 2023, citing the challenging trading conditions since the pandemic and the cinema not recovering as Curzon would have hoped.
