Jim Sleeper’s book “Great Movies Shot in Orange County,” notes that the Electric Theatre opened on May 1, 1907 as a branch of Thomas Tally’s Los Angeles Electric Theatre. In April of 1908, the theater was bought by Dr. Andrew M. Roberts, who would later build the Temple Theatre.
