The Dixie Theatre was listed as open in 1925. In 1930 the theatre was remodeled and wired for RCA sound and renamed the Dickinson Theatre which was operated by Dickinson Theatres. Two years later it went back to the Dixie Theatre where is was owned and operated by Jerome “Jerry” McNatt. Seating went from 300 to 500. The Dixie Theatre was still listed as open in the late-1950’s. The building is now occupied by Bailey & Watkins who makes handcrafted belts, wallets and other accessories.
