Located in the Porte Saint Martin district of northeast central Paris. The Chateau d'Eau was opened as a cinema prior to 1946 (possibly a former live theatre dating from the late-1890’s). It was still open in 1965, but had closed by 1985.
It was converted into a nightclub, which was still open in August 1997. This had closed by 2014 and the building is unused.
