Cinema Treasures Grand Opening Ad

The Colonial Drive-In opened in 1961 with Rosalind Russell in “The Trouble with Angels” & Lee Marvin in “Cat Ballou”. It was owned by Irv Brauerman. The car capacity was 750 and the drive-in closed in 1984 with Irwin Corey in “Stuck on You”, Matt Lattanzi in “My Tutor” and Jim Harrison in “Waitress!”. The site is now a Target Store.

Closed on September 30, 1984 with its final features were “Stuck On You”, “My Tutor”, and “Waitress” as a triple-feature.

Listed in the grand opening as as the only two-level drive-in theatre in the northwest. Where was the second level(looks like one level to me in the overhead photo in the photo? gallery
