The Willow Creek opened as an eight screen cinema May 5, 1989. It was a typical of the Cineplex Odeon cinemas of the period.
Muller Family Theatres took the cinema over following the demise of Cineplex Odeon. Muller added four more screens by building on, not dividing. They also installed stadium seating in all the auditoriums. It was taken over by Emagine Entertainemt in December 2016.

If this house opened in 1989, then it was built during the period when David K. Mesbur was the exclusive architect for the Cineplex Odeon chain (1983-1990.)
Muller Theaters sold to Emagine of Detroit, who promises upgrades.
