Located in the north of the city centre, near the Hotel de Ville (Town Hall). The Cineac Rivoli was opened as a newsreel theatre in 1935, and was part of the Cineac chain. Later re-named Royal Rivoli, it was still open in 1975, by then showing feature films, but soon went over to screening adult porn films and had closed by 1985. (The building next door at #80 rue de Rivoli housed the Rivoli Cinema, which operated as an adult porn cinema until the mid to late-1980’s. It has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

It went into retail use, by 2014 part of a branch of Etam clothing stores
