Located in Jarrow, Tyne & Wear. The Royal Albert Hall was built in 1881. It began screening films on 2nd November 1906. On 14th October 1907 it was re-named Jarrow Empire and featured Bioscope shows as part of the variety programme.. By 1910 it had been re-named Coliseum Cinema, and was closed on 28th February 1910. It was converted into the Ellison Skating Rink which operated until 1917.
