Built on part of the site of the Miami Open Air Drive-In. The Roxy Theatre opened in May of 2012. It was designed by architect John Beam of the architectural firm Mawr+Design, Inc.
In July 2025 permission was approved to convert the building into offices for the school district. The Roxy Theatre was closed on January 4, 2026 and was converted into education officed.

The Roxy replaced the former Miami Open Air Drive-In, which demolished in the mid-1980s.
The school district has approved the purchase of the Roxy Theater building, with plans to convert it into administration offices:
