Located on the corner of Roose Road & Frederick Street, in the Salthouse district of Barrow-In-Furness, Cumbria. The Salthouse Pavilion Cinema was designed by local architects (currently unknown) and was opened on 14th January 1920 with “Redeeming Love”. Seating was provided for 940 in stalls and circle levels.
It was taken over by the Union Cinemas chain in August 1936, and they were taken over by the Associated British Cinemas(ABC) chain in October 1937.
The Pavilion Cinema was closed on 24th October 1959 with Frankie Vaughan in “Heart of a Man”. It was converted into an independent bingo club, which closed in January 2012.

According to the North West Evening Mail, bingo ceased in January 2012. The CTA visited in June 2008.
Acquired by Spring Mount Christian fellowship for £97000 March 2015. It plans to convert it to a church as it has outgrown the building on Abbey Road
The building in Abbey Road is modern, but the church needed overflow premises. Permission for change of use was given in 2016 and work underway. The false nicotine stained ceiling came down and the church website claims a much more ornate ceiling was uncovered.
