In Fivemiletown, County Tyrone, the Classic Cinema in Bookborrow Road was opened on 7th May 1945. However, there is no such road, and I believe it refers to the road leading out of the town which goes to Brookeborough - but this, in the town centre, is Main Street. In any event, it was still open in 1963 and I was informed by the local library in November 2007 that the cinema had closed long ago. It has been demolished and replaced by private housing. I gather it was an extremely modest building: “not a concrete structure but a tin shed”, according to the librarian! It was run by Tom McKeagney and Mrs M. E. McCaffrey.

The Classic was in business by 1946 and still going in 1963.
