The Joy Drive-In was opened June 24, 1950 with Dan Dailey in “You’re My Everything”. It could accommodate 800 cars. The drive-in was operated by Joy Theatres out of New Orleans. The Joy Drive-In closed in 1968 and has since been demolished.

Shreveport’s main post office is now on the site of the drive-in.
This opened on June 24th, 1950 and closed in 1968 according to the newspaper listings. Its grand opening ad can be found in the photo section.
