Operating from about 1913. Managed by O'Connor-Radin who also operated the Arcade Theatre in Lynbrook and the Strand Theatre (formerly Karl Theatre) in Hempstead.
Site is now occupied by a Chase Bank.

Interesting, back in 1914, no representation of the Roman Catholic Church in that statement. Rockville Centre, of course, would become the seat for the Diocese of Long Island.
Protestant churches never had the clout over their members like the Catholics. True, some movie goers were from outside villages. When I was doing research on the original Baldwin Theater, not the Century one, there was mention of people going to RVC (Rockville Centre) as we Long Islanders write it, when there was void left by the closing of the theater.
