Jim Theatre

The 650-seat Siegle Theatre was opened by 1931. It was taken over by the Joy’s Theaters Inc. chain and following renovations it reopened as the Joy Theatre on May 25, 1941 with Charlie Chaplin in “The Great Dictator”. It could accommodate 400 patrons. On April 4, 1953 it was taken over by T.M McElroy Theatres Inc. and was renamed Jim Theatre. It closed in 1968.

The Joy Theatre opened its doors on October 15, 1944 with Red Skelton in “Bathing Beauty” along with a MGM cartoon: Ol' Doc Donkey in “The Tree Surgeon”, and a MGM “News Of The Day” newsreel.
