The K & K Drive-In was opened July 16, 1947 and could accommodate 400 cars. It was operated by J.F. Knuth & K. Drive-In. On May 27, 1949 it was renamed Hi-Way 30 Drive-In by new owner R.L. Trathan of Salt Lake City. Its final operator was Commonwealth Amusements Co. who closed it in 1950. On April 11, 1952 it reopened as the Temple Drive-In operated by K.R. Krider.
The drive-in closed around the mid-1980’s and had been demolished by 1992.

Opening in 1946 was the K&K Drive-in named for owners J.F. Knuth and L.A. Knowles. There’s room for 636 cars.
I have found no evidence of a drive-in on North Eagle Road during the time frame when it was open.
A 1971 aerial photo shows nothing. However, there was a drive in about 1 mile west of North Eagle Road at 1375 E Fairview Ave which appears to fit the description of the K & K.

Boxoffice, July 19, 1947: “The new K&K Drive-In Theatre, first drive-in in the Boise valley, was to have opened July 16, according to J. F. Knuth, builder and manager. The new 500-car drive-in stands on a 12-acre plot of former farm land two and a half miles east of Meridian on Highway 30 and seven miles from Boise. It is equipped with in-car speakers.”

Closed in 1950. Will to bet it reopened as the Temple Drive-In on April 11th, 1952 at the same location.
The drive-in first appears in a 1951 aerial. By 1971, a widescreen had replaced the old square screen. Plus, the entrance to the drive-in on the NE corner appears to have changed. A new building was added (perhaps a concession stand) and the entrance seems to have been paved.
By 1981, the entrance had changed again with the lane running down the east side of the drive-in disappearing. Given the tracks, I’m not sure if it was still open although the drive-in itself is still intact.
By 1992, the drive-in had been fully demolished, nothing but an empty field. The 1998 aerial reveals buildings on the site.
