The Sunset Drive-In opened August 1, 1947. It was closed on 1955 when the screen blew down during a windstorm when it was screening John Agar in “Revenge of the Creature”. Car capacity was 260. The site in an undeveloped overgrown field.

Here is some information from NY drive-ins
Closed after the screen blew down in a storm on 5/8/1955. The entire site is still there overgrown.
Opened with “Do you love me?”.
Closed on August 7, 1955 after the screen blew down during a windstorm while screening John Agar in “Revenge of the Creature” (unknown if any short subjects were added).
