Ideal Drive-In

The Ideal Drive-In was opened on October 12, 1950 with Donald O'Connor in “Yes Sir, That’s My Baby”. By 1955 it was operated by A.P. Papayanakos of the American Theatre. Now an abandoned drive-in that closed in 1986. Screen, ticket booth, and concession stand are all still there. Located on US Route 11, less than 1 mile south of downtown Canton.

A closer address is 5779 U.S. 11, Canton, NY. The screen lasted until at least 2011 before being torn down.

Today, the property is empty with only the ramps, screen and projection booth/concession stand foundation remaining.
