Found It!

The address is Woodview Drive, Monticello, KY. The drive-in was located north of the city along Old HWY 90.

Today, the property is an empty field with little indication that a drive-in was once present. However, the foundation of the projector booth/concession stand is still there. http://tinyurl.com/h4mj8ys

A closer address: 1242 State Hwy 3106, Monticello, KY 42633.

This points directly to the where the theater stood. Concession building foundation and part of the entrance/exit roads are still visible.

Please update.

Google Maps and Historic Aerials keep putting you too far north, but a short scroll down can find the property. If you go into street view you will also discover that the marquee is still there covered by shrubs.

The Stardust Drive-In opened its gates on October 12, 1950 with Walt Disney’s “So Dear To My Heart” with no extra short subjects. What’s very unique is that the Stardust Drive-In was originally operated by the city’s mayor at the time, Carl Huff.

The theater closed in late-1981 and was demolished on May 30, 1985.
