The Capitol Square Cinemas was opened on March 7, 1980, located in the Capitol Square shopping center, in the northeast of the city, in a space that used to be occupied by a fabric store. It was a typical neighborhood theater, showing second-run and “B” movies at bargain prices. It closed in February 1988.
