Small town movie theatre. The 656-seat Strand Theatre was opened on December 25 1940 with Pat O'Brien in “Escape to Glory”. It was later twinned. It was closed in November 2022 for refurbishment and renovations to convert it into a triplex, with a planned reopening in May 2023. It was closed in September 2023 for refurbishment and is planned to reopen in late-2023 or early-2024. It was still closed in June 2025.

OPENED CHRISTMAS 1940. Effective NOVEMBER 2022, new owners closing cinema for 16 months for renovations pending approval of Town Counsel. Plans include re-model into a three-plex, new washrooms, new Barco projectors, QSC sound, JBL Speakers and new seats. Open December 2023 or April 2024.
