Opening on October 30,1998, the Stonecrest at Piper Glen Cinemas became Regal’s first entry into the Charlotte market with all stadium seating auditoriums that featured 22 wall-to-wall screens with a seating capacity of 4,200, that was equipped with high back chairs that had retractable cupholder and arm rests. Other features include state of the art DTS and SDDS systems with full Dolby digital sound. It features a full scale Gourmet Cafe along with three large concession stands and a video game arcade with advanced ticket sales for coming attractions and also special twilight prices. Digital projection was added in all auditoriums by 2008.
