Magic Lantern Theatres opened the Rainbow Cinemas Golden Mile on April 11, 1998 at the Golden Mile Shopping Centre in Regina.
Seating capacity in each of the theatres is 184, 184, 154, 150, 150, 150, 140, 107 and 127, totalling 1,346 seats. All of the cinema complex’s nine screens are wheelchair-accessible, with Dolby Digital stereo and listening devices for the hearing-impaired. The Rainbow Cinemas Golden Mile runs on a second-run discount basis.
It was closed on September 26, 2022. It was reopened on October 13, 2023, the new operators are Moonlight Movies Cinemas who also operated the Moonlight Movies Drive-In.
