The Odom Theater

The Dixie Theatre was opened prior to 1926 when it had 400 seats. It was renamed Odum Theatre by the mid-1940’s with seating listed at 320. The was the smaller of the two operating theatres in Durant. The theatre closed in the mid to late-1950’s.

Hello, My name is Linda Odom Saha. My grandfather used to own and ran the Odom Theater in Durant. Hermon Waller Odom,Sr. It is spelled"Odom". I’ve posted an image in the Photos Section which strongly suggests that this was originally called the Dixie Theatre.
