The Hazle Theatre was opened on June 27, 1940 with seating listed at 620. Rather a large theatre for a small town. The theatre was operated by McLendon Theatres. The Hazle Theatre closed in the late-1960’s.
There was another smaller theatre in Hazlehurst called the Queen Theatre maybe someone knows info on the Queen Theatre and can add it to CT.

Cinema Tour also lists a Therell Theatre.
This house opened on June 27, 1940, and the theater’s advertisements and the newspaper headlines about the event used the spelling Hazle Theatre. This was apparently the correct spelling, despite the variant sometimes used by the FDY.
