The State Theatre was opened on December 10, 1922 with Pauline Frederick in “The Lure of Jade”. It was equipped with a Schaefer organ which had 10 ranks. The instrument was manufactured in Slinge, WI. By 1931 it had equipped for sound. It was still open in 1956, but had closed by 1957.
