According to the Sanborn Maps there were ‘Moving Pictures’ at this location in 1908. By 1916, according to advertisements in the Corona Courier, the theatre was called the Orpheum Theatre.
The Los Angeles Times noted in 1922 that West Coast Theatres had purchased the Orpheum Theatre. On March 17, 1923 an advertisement in the Corona Daily Independent touted the Gala Opening of the Mission Theatre.
The Mission Theatre disappeared from the theatre listings in 1928, before the new Fox Riverside Theatre opened. In April of 1929 the Mission Bowling Academy opened in the former theatre. The Mission Theatre was across the street from Riverside’s historic courthouse.

A card headed “Theaters—Riverside” in the Los Angeles Public Library’s California Index quotes this item from the August 17, 1912, issue of Southwest Builder & Contractor:
As 1075 Main Street would have been the Mission Theatre’s address under Riverside’s old numbering system, it must have been called the Auditorium Theater before it became the Orpheum.
