This drive-in had one outdoor screen and a theater next to the snack bar with a theater that had two screens. This was one of eight “MoPed” (mo = motor = car; ped = pedestrian = walk-in) style of drive-ins.
Unsure if the drive-in had the indoor theater during its opening, or it was placed there later, but it was listed in 1955 as the 400-car capacity, Trails Drive-In, and operated by Jones Entertainment. The drive-in closed in 2000. As of May 2012, the original drive-in marquee remains on Tucker Road, just behind an auto parts supply company.

I made at least 2 visits here: For Love Of The Game & The 13th Warrior. Then Viva Rock Vegas & Scream 3. It’s a smaller version of the Starlite drive-in in Roseburg, OR. The box office was right off the side of the building with no signage. I always drove right past it into the field. As of 2010, the city/county paved a cul-de-sac on the field, perhaps to make it more of a business park. And the snack bar roof has been changed, more of a pitched roof.
The actual address for the entrance as pictured above was 1645 Tucker Rd, Hood River, OR 97031. Thd screen is now Abbey Carpets. Tne concession/indoor theater is Hood River JiuJitsu!
Please update.
By 2018, the marquee had been removed.
It appears the marquee has moved around the corner to the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum (WAAAM).
