Abbey Picture House

Located in the Kirkstall district, northwest of Leeds. The Abbey Picture House was opened on 22nd September 1913 with “The Web” and “The Ne'er to Return Road”. All seating was on a single level.

The Abbey Picture House was closed on 8th October 1960 with Anthony Newley in “Idle on Parade”. It was converted into a bingo club which operated for many years.

Today the building is in use as De Lacey House, a community facility for Leeds Mind, helping the disabled to find employment.
