The theatre office records indicated it was built by Tedd Mann in the mid-1960’s, it was located in the Northbrook Shopping Center. It was opened on June 15, 1966 with Rosalind Russell in “The Trouble with Angels”. It had one single wide screen with two 70mm Simplex projectors in the booth. For sound there were five Voice of the Theatre speakers behind the screen with speakers along the left and right sides in the ceilings for multi-channel surround sound. The theatre seated 754.

In August of 1975 the single theatre was converted into a twin theatre and the auditorium was split into 2 screens, The name was changed to the Cinema 1&2.

As time progressed the auditorium the was then spilt into 3 screens with the name changed to the Cinema 1-2-3. The theatre was closed on September 14, 2000 and the building demolished in 2008.

When the theater was first opened in the mid 60’s as a single screen it was named the Cinema 21 Theater.
