The Metropolitan Theatre was opened by February 11, 1902. By 1926 it was operated by the Finkelstein & Ruben chain. It was still open in 1929, but had closed by 1931.

It has since been demolished, apart from the facade, which is used as an entrance to a bank, with a post office built on the site of the auditorium.
