Strand Theatre

Originally opened as the Cameo Theatre on February 18, 1924. The Strand Theatre was opened on 16th June 1924 with Betty Compson in “Miami”. Seating listed at 860. It was initially operated by Shenandoah Valley Theatres followed by Warner Brothers, Stanley Warner. The theatre closed on February 28, 1960. Where the theatre once stood is now a parking lot.

This building was constructed sometime between 1914 and 1921 as a dealership.

The Cameo theatre opened on February 18th, 1924 and reopened as the Strand theatre on June 15th, 1954. It closed on February 28th, 1960 and converted into a parking lot. Grand opening ads posted.
