Located in the Portobello district to the east of Edinburgh. Originally built as the Town Hall in 1863, it was designed by architect David Bryce.
Alterations were made by architect J.F. Matthew in 1913 when it was converted into the Picture House. Also known as the Cinema Theatre, it was last known as the Star Cinema, and closed around 1919.
The building is now a Baptist Church.
