This was the main theater I went to for most of my childhood. First movie I saw here was Ducktales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp on a Sunday afternoon with my parents. Saw a lot of films here over the years: The Rescuers Down Under, The Rocketeer, Beauty and the Beast, Ace Ventura: Pet Dective, the Sandlot, the Muppets Christmas Carol, Muppet Treasure Island, Batman Forever, Hercules, the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Mortal Kombat, Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, Tomorrow Never Dies and more.
I miss that… and Playco Toys, the arcade right next door, and the Discovery Zone from the mid-90s. Sadly, nearly everything on the block is gone now.
A Spanish language church sits here now.
