Opened as the Hippodrome Theatre in 1908, it began showing films in 1912. It was re-named Princess Theatre in 1918. The proscenium was 26 feet wide, the stage was 14 feet deep and there were three dressing rooms.
The Princess Theatre was closed as a cinema in around 1959, and has since been demolished.
