The 600-seat Kwong Sing Theatre, which opened to business in 1930, was the first talkie-cinema to be built in Jiangmen. Kwong Sing is the Cantonese pronunciation of its Chinese name, literally meaning “the sound of a running river”, and its exact English name if any is unavailable. The closing date of the theatre is pending further research.
