This movie theater opened in 1997 as a first-run. When the Showplace 16 opened eleven years later, one year later the Marketplace Stadium 10 started playing second-runs.
The first film I saw there was “Brother Bear”, briefly, but the first entire one I saw was “Looney Tunes: Back in Action”. The last time I saw a first-run there was “Coraline”. I guess they played second-runs after that. It was closed around 2012, and has been converted into retail use.

The theatre opened with Volcano on April 25, 1997.
Well, what do you know? Did it seriously open with “Volcano”? Well, why didn’t I go there for the opening day in the first place? Oh, well. I anyway say a bunch of movies between 2003 and 2009. That’s why you’d have to see another great flick there…but it’s a second run. I guess I spoke too much. I was dormant from going to the movies for six years after I was born. So, there you have it.
this theater is closed and is now a Big Lots store.
Yes — it opened with Volcano and was the FIRST “Grand Opening” event I got to attend without having to work. I should have taken more photos when I toured during the opening but I was just so AMAZED to be in a brand new theatre that all I could do was marvel.
Santa Rosa Entertainment Group operated the Marketplace Stadium 10.
