According to a front page advertisement published by The Kung Sheung Daily News on 7th February, 1937, the New Star Theatre was in business showing Cantonese films. The English name is literally translated from its Chinese name, its exact English name if any is unavailable. Its opening and closing date and number of seats is pending further research.
