Opened as the Laurel Lakes 8. It later expanded to 12 screens in the late-1980s.

I remember when this one first opened in 1985, they had free attendance all weekend. My cousin and I saw MAX MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME and ST. ELMOS FIRE.
