This theatre might have originally been a single screen operation when it opened in 1971 but was definitely a twin a few years later. The complex was later expanded to 8 screens and shuttered in 1997. It has since been demolished.

June 14th, 1971 grand opening ad has been posted here.
It was def a double when it first opened, originally located in the front main section of Gulf Gate Mall. After the mall’s expansion, it was relocated to the newer back section which is when it became a multi screened venue.
